About This Program

The Production Is the Vehicle. Development Is the Destination.

Every young person has something worth saying. Most of them just haven’t been given the structure, the support, or the safe space to figure out how to say it.

Production Mentoring is a youth mentoring program that uses podcasting, video, and digital storytelling as vehicles for one of the most important things we can help young people develop: their voice.

Not their microphone presence. Not their follower count. Their voice — the clarity with which they think, the confidence with which they communicate, and the ability to take what’s inside their head and share it in a way that connects with the world around them.

This program is not about creating content creators. It’s about developing communicators — young people who can organize their thoughts, articulate their ideas, and show up with purpose and intention when they’re given a platform.

This Is Not a Media Class.

The production side is the vehicle. The development side is the destination. Every session is about helping a young person grow in clarity, confidence, and purpose — with podcasting and video as the tools, not the endpoint.

Who This Is For

For Students with Something to Say

Media-Curious Students

Middle and high school students interested in media, communication, podcasting, or video content.

Students Building Confidence

Young people who want to build confidence in speaking, presenting, and expressing themselves clearly.

Overthinkers & Hold-Backs

Students who overthink, hold back, or struggle to get their ideas out clearly — and need structure to break through.

Creative Young People

Students who have ideas but haven’t found the right framework for expressing them with intention.

Institutional partners: School administrators, after-school program directors, youth development organizations, and community programs looking for media-based enrichment that also develops communication and life skills.

The Problem This Solves

Wanting to Create Is Different from Knowing How

Young people today are surrounded by content — and many of them want to create. They want to podcast. They want to make videos. They follow creators and think: I could do that.

But the barriers that stop most young people from actually starting aren’t technical — they’re personal. Production Mentoring was built to address those barriers directly — through mentoring, structure, and guided practice that builds both the skill and the belief that their voice matters.

Fear of judgment and not being “good enough” before they ever get started

Difficulty organizing thoughts into something coherent and purposeful

Inconsistency — they start strong and fall off without structure and accountability

Lack of confidence in their own voice and ideas — not knowing if what they have to say matters

No framework for how to plan, develop, and actually finish what they start

What Participants Experience

In the Seat. Guided Every Step.

This program puts participants in the seat — and then helps them understand what to do once they’re there. Through guided mentoring sessions, participants develop their ideas, learn how to structure content, practice speaking and recording, and receive feedback that is always focused on development rather than performance.

The goal is not a polished product — the goal is a more confident, clearer communicator.

  • Voice, Confidence & Communication — Guided mentoring sessions focused on what you want to say and how to say it.
  • Content Planning & Idea Development — Taking a vague idea and turning it into a structure that can actually be executed.
  • Storytelling & Organization — How to organize thoughts and deliver them clearly — in spoken word, on video, or in audio.
  • Practice & Recording — Opportunities to practice speaking, recording, or presenting in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
  • Feedback for Growth — Encouragement and critique designed to build consistency and confidence over time.
  • A Repeatable Content Workflow — A system participants can continue using independently after the program ends.

A process they own and can use independently, long after the program ends.

Expression with Purpose

Knowing not just what they want to say, but why it matters — and who it’s for.

Why JustINSPIRE

Built by a Creator Who Understands the Struggle

Justin H. Tucker — Founder, JustINSPIRE Mentoring

Justin Tucker has been creating content, speaking publicly, and developing his own voice for years — as a podcaster, educator, and community leader who built an audience by being real, clear, and consistent about what he believes.

He brings that experience into this program as a mentor who understands both the craft and the struggle. He knows what it feels like to have something to say and not know how to say it yet. He knows how to help someone find their words — and then build the confidence to use them.

JustINSPIRE approaches content creation as personal development, not production. Every session is about helping a young person grow in clarity, confidence, and purpose — with podcasting and video as the tools, not the endpoint.

“Young people have stories worth telling. This program gives them the structure and the courage to tell them.”
— Justin H. Tucker, JustINSPIRE Mentoring

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do students need any prior experience with podcasting or video?

No. This program is designed for beginners. The focus is on communication and storytelling development — not technical production. No prior experience is required.

What equipment or technology do participants need?

Requirements are minimal and flexible — a smartphone or tablet is often sufficient. Contact us to discuss what’s needed for your specific setting and format.

Is this program about teaching students to become professional content creators?

The goal is not to build professional content creators — it’s to build confident communicators. If a student discovers a passion for media and wants to pursue it further, that’s a great outcome. But the primary goal is voice, clarity, and confidence.

Can this be tied to existing school curriculum?

Yes — the communication and storytelling skills developed in this program connect directly to ELA and presentation standards. Contact us to discuss alignment with your curriculum goals.

How is this different from a media arts class?

This program is mentoring-based, not curriculum-based. It focuses on personal development — confidence, voice, and expression — rather than technical media skills. It’s also not graded. The environment is one of support, practice, and growth.
